The concert on December 5, 2015 at the Elk Lodge in Grass Valley Featuring Lacy J Dalton and Vargas Road was
huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out to dance, eat, donate, and listen to some great music.
About 200 hundred people attended showing their support for Divine Spark of Nevada County, The Let em Run’
Foundation, and Charis Youth Center. The concert brought in about 400 cans of food and over 500 pieces of warm
clothing to help local Nevada County families stay warm and fed this winter. Divine Spark was also able to raise an
additional $320 in donations. Furthermore, the families supported by Divine Spark were eagerly seeking a location
for their Christmas dinner and thanks to the event, the Elks Lodge of Grass Valley has offered their facility to them on Christmas Day. Many thanks to the Elks Lodge of Grass Valley and their continued support.
The concert also raised awareness about equine assisted therapy and the direct benefits seen here in our local
community. Donations and sales inside the concert raised enough money to purchase 42 bales of hay and
contribute to a brand new round pen at the ranch where Charis students attend for equine assisted therapy.
Once again we thank you for coming out and showing your support. We would also like to thank Lacy J. Dalton for
being an advocate for saving the wild mustangs and for always coming to Grass Valley to show her support for
Charis Youth Center. We thank Vargas Road for your continued support and great music. Thank you to all of the
volunteers and donors. It is events like these in Nevada County that make the gold country a spectacular place to
